The Egyptian Alphabet and Grammar

In case you are interested in the subject of the Kirtland Egyptian Papers, take a look at William Schryver’s recent paper/presentation on the subject. He both lays to rest something I proposed a long time ago, and confirms something else. It’s a remarkable bit of detective work and links up with some recent work of Sam Brown.[1] Have a look here.

WVS,
I take it that you and Chris Smith see things differently hey?
I confess that I don’t know.
Cool. I just watched his interviews with Kerry Shirts, and he seemed to disagree with most of Schryver’s presentation.
How have scholars responded to Schryver’s ideas? Positive or negative? What do you think?
No idea really. I’m guessing somebody will come out with something, but I’m no insider in the discussion.
